Attorney General Hunts Down Drug Dealing Nursing Home Patient During Raid

The most recent raid at an Illinois Nursing Home was conducted by Attorney General Lisa Madigan at the Virgil Calvert Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  The nursing home sweep was conducted by Madigan in conjunction with authorities from the St. Clair Sheriff Department, Illinois State Police, Illinois Department of Public Health, Illinois Department on Aging and the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. Another Sexual Assault Of A Nursing Home Patient At The Hands Of A Convicted Felon

Sadly, the most recent episode of the sexual assault of nursing home patient at the hands of convicted felon-- who happens to be a fellow patient--- occurred last week in a Florida Nursing Home.  57-year-old Larry Donneal Evans, admitted to the sexual assault of a disabled female patient at the nursing home.  The nursing home staff caught Mr. Evans in the act of assaulting the disabled woman and immediately reported the incident to police authorities. Centenarian Murdered At Nursing Home With Troubled Past

Authorities are investigating the strangulation death of a 100 year-old patient at Brandon Woods Long Term Care.  According to early reports, Elizabeth Barrow was strangled by her roommate possibly in retaliation for her receiving 'too many visitors'.   While we learn more about the specifics of this tragedy, it now appears that this Massachusetts Nursing Home has a poor track record of providing quality patient care.  According to state nursing home surveys Brandon Woods scored in the lowest quarter based on factors relating to: cleanliness, quality and safety.
