Invasion Of Privacy; Two Kentucky Nursing Homes Cited After Employees Use Cellular Phones To Take Photos Of Residents

Two Kentucky nursing homes have been cited by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services after employees improperly used their cell phones to take photos of residents. The most recent incident took place at Dawson Point.  Although the specifics of the incident have not been disclosed, Dawson Point administrator, Margaret Curtis, said she was forced to take immediate action to protect residents after she learned of behavior she deemed appalling. Lexington Care Center Named As Defendant In Case Involving Mutiple Falls

Lexington Care Center of Lake Zurich, Illinois has been named in nursing home negligence lawsuit filed in Cook County.  The lawsuit alleges Chicago nursing home failed to monitor an 83-year-old resident who was a known high fall risk.  The woman allegedly fell five times from February through August, 2007.
