Nursing Home Worker Gets Seven Years In Prison For Sexually Abusing Disabled Patient

Testifying through an interpreter and via spelling out words, a disabled nursing home patient convinced a New York City jury that her allegations of sexual abuse during her admission to a New York nursing home were indeed true.  Consequently, her former CNA Jose Ramos will face seven years in prison for his crimes. The district attorney was summoned to prosecute the case after when a nurse at the nursing facility saw Ramos sexually assaulting the woman in her room. As a nursing home lawyer, I was glad to see that justice had been served in this matter as sexual abuse... More

Another Sexual Assault Of A Nursing Home Patient At The Hands Of A Convicted Felon

Sadly, the most recent episode of the sexual assault of nursing home patient at the hands of convicted felon-- who happens to be a fellow patient--- occurred last week in a Florida Nursing Home.  57-year-old Larry Donneal Evans, admitted to the sexual assault of a disabled female patient at the nursing home.  The nursing home staff caught Mr. Evans in the act of assaulting the disabled woman and immediately reported the incident to police authorities. In addition to admitting to his inappropriate behavior, Mr. Evans stated that he did not stop his groping because the woman never said 'stop'.  Prior... More

Negley says... More
